ABOUT ME

Born with an innate passion for beauty, raised in good flavors, an authentic gourmet and style hunter, I am Clara, originally from Gorizia, Milanese by adoption.

Gourmode was born to talk to you about everything I love, to bite a crunchy French baguette, to run on a pair of stilettos to catch the last flight on Friday night, wander neighborhood after neighborhood in search of the restaurant to discover, listen good music sipping a signature cocktail… wake up the next day in silk pajamas, connected to gourmode.com, to let yourself be transported into a gourmet à la mode world, chic with appetite.

Gourmet à la mode

Chic
with appetite

My gourmet à la mode spirit has its roots in my childhood.
A little bit of innate nature, a little bit of family education… Good taste has always been at home.

At Toso Restaurant, in my memories, I am delighted in tasting the meatball with red sauce. In this authentic Friulian trattoria they keep my näif drawings and the flavor of those carefree years.
I then imagine myself curiously looking inside a portmanteau full of silk scarves. I used to take them with me on the beach in Grado and to play creating amazing dresses on my friends, to then organizing runways on the shore.

I’ve always been lucky enough to travel, but I’m from a small town.
I believe this is my distinctive trait, which translates into a deep bond with my land, the ability to recognize the authentic in places, things, people and to never stop getting surprised in front of something new.
I will always remain that little girl with golden curls who in Paris, at the Bistrot Benoit, with a polka dot dress, tasted escargots for the first time at the age of five and told it to the whole kindergarten, as if it was the most incredible of the adventures. And maybe it was…

My imagery is inspired by the dreamlike aesthetics of Wes Anderson’s films, the dolcevita shotted by Slim Aarons, the icons of the past, from Jane Birkin to Brigitte Bardot, from Grace Kelly to Marisa Berenson, Le Marais, Le Cinque Vie, a marabou dress, to the Liberty style, to a glass of Champagne, to red lipstick on an espresso cup, dice and playing cards, to iconic dishes, to cult…

I call it buongusto

My style is eclectic.
Unconventional elegance is my mantra.
I am fascinated by what is timeless with an eccentric twist.
I am looking for quality, authenticity and personality in all forms.
A personal style that I carry on in my vision of the world. An original interpretation, through which I convey the brands that choose my image and my particular story-telling to tell their story.
And if gourmode was born yesterday as a diary.
Today it is a lifestyle to recognize yourself in.
I call it, buongusto.

Some of the brands whose story I’ve been lucky enough to interpret:
Belvedere Vodka, Caudalie, Ferrari Trento, Cartier, Sisley Paris, Veuve Clicquot, Armani Restaurants, Dior, Pommery, Chanel… and many more.
