What could you never do without? If we were asked this question, we gourmode addicts would answer that we are ready to enjoy wonderful bouquets, precious treasures in perfect Provencal style and green shops that are the guardians of magic, emotions and floral secrets!

We are aesthetes by “nature”, we love to surround ourselves with beauty, whether it is roses, buttercups, wisteria that have just bloomed, magnolias to photograph in the streets of Milan, decorative plants, our favourite piece of furniture or a petit-déjeuner with vintage music in our ears, all accompanied by a delicious cappuccino strictly with soya milk in the company of flowers and gazettes, and if the one in question was the Gourmode Gazette even more so. To adorn every corner of our home with objects that cannot be found, to flourish every morning wandering barefoot and wandering with our thoughts among the infamous Parisian alleyways, the gardens of Eden and the flower shops of yesteryear, charming places made up of colours, scents and gestures of times gone by that tell of us, isn’t this the true wealth of life?

Milan, our habitat, cradle of decorations, flowery addresses, bistros and flower homes, where you can go for your favourite weekend rendezvous or special occasions, is the queen city. Vast menu proposals based on flowers, ceramics, vases and much more will delight the palates of Mesdames and Monsieur, of which we are proud to mention particularities and refined details.

The first honourable mention goes to Clori Home and Flowers, flower garden, architect of atmospheres and laboratory of ideas, a place of the heart for us lovers of creativity and a thousand gourmet à la mode fantasies. Her home in the shadow of Sant’Eustorgio, among flowers and red bricks in her fairy-tale house, reveals the eternal beauty of her bouquets made with string, strictly with love, to give smiles and floral gifts with a French flavour.

Their tin boxes, mixed with memories, sophisticated design pieces and carefully handwritten cards, take us back in time and white films of yesteryear and the atmosphere of our dear grandmothers’ homes. Their specialities are flowers that look like field flowers, dishevelled, and rare flowers, exotic plants reminiscent of paintings. Their garden ingredients are peonies, freesias, poppies and double-petalled tulips, camellias and many other species. We are madly in love with their colourful bouquets, the scent of herbs and their Northern European style mixed with Mediterranean sensibilities!

The wooden and iron garden tables, adorned with candles, vases and mirrors with spots that tell stories of nineteenth-century eras, into which we would have liked to be teleported, are now adorned with our Gourmode Gazzette, ready to wrap new floral compositions, garnished with raw linen ribbon, just like in Paris, impossible to resist!

Another enchanted place, a source of wonder is Frida’s.  A Flower Store was born of the desire to create something different in the world of flowers, a place to daydream, fill your heart with beauty and be overwhelmed by the multitude of flowers. A boutique adored by the cosy style, which reinterprets the concept of flowers through the cone and hatbox packaging, bouquets and romantic boxes. Frida’s has several stores throughout Italy, our favourite being the one next to our Atelier in Corso Genova 6. Visit it and indulge in sushi made from baskets of flowers, the most gourmet à la mode composition.

Further north, there is a space with a surreal atmosphere where we can rediscover, in dialogue and familiarity with nature, in our hearts, what makes us human and worthy of the beauty that life offers: Offfi Milano. In Via Carmagnola 8 in Milan’s Isola district, a total green living room reigns supreme amidst the flora that dominates a fireplace and a retro-looking bookcase. Flowers from all over the world and handcrafted vases from Provence are waiting to be set on the table. Special feature? Every object found in the flower concept store is different from the one following it, all absolutely unique, a perfect gift idea, we would say.

For unusual floral suggestions and scenery, our appetising suggestion is Lami Fiori, a floral bijoux in the heart of Brera, in Piazza San Marco, a place where professionalism exclusively interprets floral design trends, creating a dialogue between exemplary plants, rare flowers and handcrafted objects.

The pride and joy of its owner is the immersion in a wild rose garden as a pleasant sensation for those who cross the threshold of his shop, in total symbiosis with nature.
