Sipping villeggiatura
by Clara Nanut @gour.mode
Imagine a villeggiante in Milan, in the summer.
You’re already thirsty, aren’t you? After all, this is the birthplace of the Aperitivo.
Dream now of being that villeggiante, out of his comfort zone, just docked at Darsena. Like a mirage, you glimpse Aethos Club from your boat, and you enter The Doping Bar, a gourious place full of collectibles and artifacts but also cordials, infusions, botanicals and artisanal liquors. Here, among chaises lounges, leather trunks and Peacock chairs, you finally feel at home.
You have a cooler loaded with the freshest Tassoni products: bitters, gin, citrus and floral tonics, and the legendary Cedrata. You’re not going to walk around the scorching Lombardian capital without refreshments, are you?!
You start a conversation with the bartender and all of a sudden end up talking about vacations, the ones in your favorite destination where the days of the week blend into one another.
Facing each other at the bar counter you propose a challenge: turn that atmosphere into a cocktail!
Refreshing, citrusy, fragrant, with the flavor of childhood or life-long dreams…
Surely it will be like sipping villeggiatura?
Cin cin!

SHAKEN AMARCORD
What does nostalgia taste like? Bittersweet, like the childhood memory of vacationing in your favorite destination and going on a daily trip to the bar with dad, grandpa, your tennis teacher or whoever your summer mentor was. You, a mint syrup water, and him, an aperitivo that you could dip the tip of your tongue in – back then you would grimace… but today, who knows?

7-8 Mint Leaves
Tassoni Cedrata Top

AMARENA BREEZE
Whether on a bowl of gelato and whipped cream, or garnishing a refreshing cocktail, Amarena cherries are known to be the apple (cherry?) of everyone’s eyes. In the shade of a ripe cherry tree, counting the clouds in the sky, caressed by a gentle breeze, there would be only one thing that could elevate this heavenly state: a sweet and refreshing cocktail.
Recipe
50 ml Tassoni Superfine Gin
15 ml Lime Cordial
1 bar spoon Amarena Syrup
Tassoni Organic Elderberry Top
Method: Build
Glass: Highball
